A beautiful decor for your living spaces with its wonderful details with handwork, a mixture of bone dust and bronze by Veronese design
Persephone is a goddess of ancient Greek mythology. She is the daughter of Demeter, the goddess of agriculture, and Zeus. Persephone is also known as Kore, meaning "the maiden."
Persephone is most famously known for her abduction by Hades, the god of the underworld. According to the myth, Hades, who was enamored with Persephone's beauty, kidnapped her and took her to the underworld to be his queen. Demeter, Persephone's mother, was devastated and searched the earth for her daughter. In her grief, Demeter caused the crops to wither and die, leading to a great famine.
To rescue Persephone, Zeus sent Hermes to the underworld to negotiate her release. Hades agreed to let Persephone go, but before she left, he gave her six pomegranate seeds to eat. According to the myth, whoever eats food from the underworld is doomed to remain there forever.
As a result of eating the pomegranate seeds, Persephone was forced to spend six months of the year in the underworld with Hades, and the remaining six months with her mother on earth. During the months she is in the underworld, Demeter grieves and the earth becomes barren, leading to winter. When Persephone returns to earth, Demeter is overjoyed and the earth blossoms, leading to spring.
This myth explains the cycle of seasons and the changing of the seasons. It also explains the concept of death and rebirth, as well as the connection between life and death and the underworld and the living.
Persephone is also associated with the Eleusinian Mysteries, an ancient Greek religious festival that honored Demeter and Persephone and was celebrated every year in Ancient Greece, it is also considered as one of the most sacred and secretive rituals in ancient Greek religion.

Arrived when expected and the item is beautiful. Looks quality and great detail. It is a gift for someone and I don't think they'll be disappointed with it. Also, I had some concerns about delivery time as I was on a tight schedule but had plenty of communication with the seller and it was delivered by Royal Mail which was reassuring.

This is a gift for my wife who loves owls. This piece of Steampunk art takes the wise bird whom Athena in Greek mythology favours to an entirely new level. I love steampunk art and my wife is quite impressed with this figurine which is well made and quite unique.
