In Greek mythology, Mercury is known as Hermes. Hermes is a multifaceted deity with several important roles. He serves as the messenger of the gods, delivering their messages to humans with his ability to move swiftly, often depicted with winged sandals and a staff known as the caduceus. Hermes is also the god of commerce and communication, overseeing trade, negotiations, and the exchange of information. He plays a protective role for travelers and merchants and is known to guide the souls of the dead to the underworld.

Hermes is often associated with symbols such as winged sandals, a winged hat, and the caduceus, representing his speed, communication skills, and authority. Among the famous myths involving Hermes is the tale of his early theft of Apollo’s cattle, which he later reconciles with Apollo. Additionally, Hermes is believed to have played a role in bringing fire to humanity by warning Prometheus of the gods' wrath.

In Roman mythology, Hermes is equivalent to Mercury, who shares similar attributes and functions, including being the god of trade, communication, and theft. Hermes is revered for his intelligence and versatility, assisting both gods and humans in various ways.

The "Figurine Mercury (Hermes)" stands 36 cm tall and is crafted using the cold cast bronze technique. Hermes, known as Mercury in Roman mythology, is the messenger of the gods and the deity of commerce and communication. Cold cast bronze involves shaping the metal without applying high heat, preserving the clarity and quality of the details in the figurine while providing a lightweight and durable structure.

The figurine features an elegant design, in line with classical depictions of Hermes, including symbols such as winged sandals and the caduceus staff, representing his swift movement and communication skills. The cold cast bronze technique allows the figurine to reflect the rich textures and luster typical of traditional bronze sculptures, offering a high standard of artistic and aesthetic quality.

• Height: 37 cm (14.57 in)
• Width: 13 cm (5.12 in)
• Length: 14 cm (5.51 in)

Arrived when expected and the item is beautiful. Looks quality and great detail. It is a gift for someone and I don't think they'll be disappointed with it. Also, I had some concerns about delivery time as I was on a tight schedule but had plenty of communication with the seller and it was delivered by Royal Mail which was reassuring.

This is a gift for my wife who loves owls. This piece of Steampunk art takes the wise bird whom Athena in Greek mythology favours to an entirely new level. I love steampunk art and my wife is quite impressed with this figurine which is well made and quite unique.
