Aphrodite was the goddess of love, desire, and beauty. The most well known myth about her birth was when Cronus castrated his father Uranus and tossed his severed genitals into the sea, Aphrodite arose from the sea foam on a giant shell and walked to shore. Aphrodite was the patron of love and lovers. She enjoyed trapping other gods in love affairs, and she herself was not left out of the game. Being the lame god Hephaestus' wife, she embarked on an affair with Ares.

Care
Care
Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, and prolonged exposure to moisture or direct sunlight. For bronze and metal pieces, an occasional light coat of wax or polish helps preserve the finish. Porcelain and glass items should be hand-cleaned gently to protect painted or gilded details.
