Description
Description
This evocative representation draws inspiration from the enduring iconography of ancient Egypt, specifically channeling the regal authority and divine protection associated with goddesses such as Hathor or Isis. The central figure is adorned with the traditional uraeus, the rearing cobra symbolizing royal sovereignty, while the expansive wings signify a celestial, guardian presence. This piece reflects the 1920s fascination with Egyptomania—a cultural movement ignited by the discovery of Tutankhamun’s tomb—which masterfully blended the rigid, stylized aesthetics of pharaonic history with the geometric sophistication of the Art Deco movement. Belonging to the themes of classical antiquities, cultural revivalism, and the historical exploration of mythic femininity, this work serves as a testament to the timeless allure of the ancient world reimagined through the lens of early twentieth-century modernism.

Care
Care
Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, and prolonged exposure to moisture or direct sunlight. For bronze and metal pieces, an occasional light coat of wax or polish helps preserve the finish. Porcelain and glass items should be hand-cleaned gently to protect painted or gilded details.
