Description
Description
This figure centers on the enigmatic Baphomet, an icon whose origins trace back to the 14th-century inquisitorial trials of the Knights Templar, where it was first mentioned as a mysterious idol associated with heresy. Its modern visual identity was codified in 1856 by the occultist Éliphas Lévi in his *Dogme et Rituel de la Haute Magie*, where he reimagined the entity as the "Sabbatic Goat," a symbol representing the reconciliation of opposing forces—the synthesis of masculine and feminine, light and dark, and the terrestrial and the celestial. Seated atop the globe, this depiction echoes Lévi’s emphasis on universal equilibrium, serving as an emblem of esoteric wisdom, the mysteries of hermeticism, and the pursuit of hidden knowledge. This piece finds its place within the themes of occult symbolism, dark aesthetics, and historical mystery, offering a profound reflection on the duality inherent in the philosophical understanding of the natural and supernatural worlds.

Care
Care
Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, and prolonged exposure to moisture or direct sunlight. For bronze and metal pieces, an occasional light coat of wax or polish helps preserve the finish. Porcelain and glass items should be hand-cleaned gently to protect painted or gilded details.
