Description
Description
The griffin, a legendary creature possessing the body of a lion and the head and wings of an eagle, has long served as a powerful symbol of divine power and guardianship across ancient civilizations. In Celtic and broader Indo-European mythology, these chimerical beings were often depicted as protectors of sacred treasures, elevated by their dual command over the earth and the heavens. This representation captures the creature in a posture of vigilance, grounding its terrestrial strength upon a sphere adorned with intricate interlace patterns that evoke the eternal cycles and infinite complexity central to Celtic artistic expression. Embodying themes of ancient mythology, heraldic majesty, and symbolic protection, this piece invites viewers to contemplate the intersection of mortal strength and spiritual stewardship that defines the legacy of the griffin in human history.

Care
Care
Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, and prolonged exposure to moisture or direct sunlight. For bronze and metal pieces, an occasional light coat of wax or polish helps preserve the finish. Porcelain and glass items should be hand-cleaned gently to protect painted or gilded details.
