Description
Description
This evocative figure synthesizes the delicate artistry of classical ballet with the profound cultural legacy of the Mexican *Día de los Muertos*, or Day of the Dead. The subject’s stylized facial markings echo the traditional *calavera* or sugar skull aesthetic, an indigenous tradition evolved over centuries to honor the cycle of life and the memory of ancestors through vibrant, festive symbolism. By juxtaposing this ritualistic imagery with the ethereal, fluid movement of a koi fish—a creature deeply rooted in East Asian lore as an emblem of perseverance, strength, and transformation—the piece creates a syncretic dialogue between different global philosophies regarding mortality and endurance. Belonging to themes of folk surrealism, aquatic fantasy, and contemporary occult aesthetics, this character captures a liminal space where the solemnity of ancestral remembrance meets the graceful, spirited nature of performance art.

Care
Care
Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, and prolonged exposure to moisture or direct sunlight. For bronze and metal pieces, an occasional light coat of wax or polish helps preserve the finish. Porcelain and glass items should be hand-cleaned gently to protect painted or gilded details.
