Description
Description
This piece draws inspiration from the vibrant traditions of Día de los Muertos, a Mexican holiday that celebrates the cyclical nature of life and the joyful remembrance of ancestors. The central figure, adorned with the iconic *calavera* face paint and crowned with deep crimson marigolds—or *cempasúchil*, the flower of the dead—reflects a syncretic blend of indigenous Mesoamerican beliefs and folk art aesthetics. By juxtaposing the ethereal, otherworldly nature of a fairy with the skeletal representation of mortality, this work bridges the divide between the ethereal realms of folklore and the cultural rituals of honoring those who have passed. This synthesis explores themes of dark fantasy, gothic whimsy, and the festive, reverent commemoration of death, capturing the intersection where mythology meets ancestral tradition.

Care
Care
Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, and prolonged exposure to moisture or direct sunlight. For bronze and metal pieces, an occasional light coat of wax or polish helps preserve the finish. Porcelain and glass items should be hand-cleaned gently to protect painted or gilded details.
