Description
Description
This piece draws inspiration from the enduring Greco-Roman myth of Cupid and Psyche, a poignant tale of love, trial, and ultimate reconciliation as chronicled in the writings of Lucius Apuleius. It captures the transformative moment of the lovers’ reunion, characterized by the delicate embrace and the profound emotional intensity that has captivated artists and sculptors for centuries. By depicting the divine god of desire bestowing a kiss upon the mortal soul, the composition masterfully evokes themes of romantic devotion, the triumph of perseverance over adversity, and the celestial union of the human and the divine. This evocative representation serves as an homage to the Neoclassical tradition, immortalizing the narrative of love as an eternal journey towards transcendence.

Care
Care
Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, and prolonged exposure to moisture or direct sunlight. For bronze and metal pieces, an occasional light coat of wax or polish helps preserve the finish. Porcelain and glass items should be hand-cleaned gently to protect painted or gilded details.
