Description
Description
This evocative tableau draws inspiration from the ancient Greek mythological figure of Charon, the ferryman of Hades who conveyed the souls of the deceased across the rivers Styx and Acheron to the underworld. In this interpretation, the silent sentinel stands draped in shadow, wielding a blade to mark the finality of existence while guiding a vessel constructed from the remnants of those who have passed before. The lantern illuminates the path through the eternal dark, symbolizing the transition from the mortal realm to the afterlife. Belonging to the themes of dark fantasy, macabre folklore, and memento mori, this piece serves as a solemn reflection on the inevitability of death and the timeless voyage that awaits all in the silent currents of the beyond.

Care
Care
Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, and prolonged exposure to moisture or direct sunlight. For bronze and metal pieces, an occasional light coat of wax or polish helps preserve the finish. Porcelain and glass items should be hand-cleaned gently to protect painted or gilded details.
