Description
Description
The devotion to the Divine Infant Jesus, or El Divino Niño, traces its origins to the revelations experienced by Salesian missionary Father John Rizzo in 1914, who sought to honor the childhood of Jesus Christ. Inspired by the image of the Infant of Prague, the tradition gained prominence in Bogotá, Colombia, where it became a profound symbol of divine provision, innocence, and trust. This portrayal captures the Christ Child with arms outstretched in a welcoming gesture, reflecting themes of spiritual invitation, hope, and the accessibility of grace. Embodying the intersection of faith and cultural devotion, this representation serves as a poignant reminder of the sanctity of youth and the enduring promise of guidance, remaining a cherished focal point for those seeking comfort and intercession in the Catholic tradition.

Care
Care
Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, and prolonged exposure to moisture or direct sunlight. For bronze and metal pieces, an occasional light coat of wax or polish helps preserve the finish. Porcelain and glass items should be hand-cleaned gently to protect painted or gilded details.
