Description
Description
Inspired by the solitary plight of the real-world 52-hertz whale—an unidentified individual known for calling at a frequency distinct from all other members of its species—this reimagined vessel serves as a poetic tribute to the intersection of deep-sea mystery and speculative interstellar exploration. The conceptual design draws heavily from the industrial revolution’s aesthetic legacy, channeling the visionary ambition of Victorian-era science fiction writers who dreamt of humanity breaking the bonds of Earth to traverse the vast, uncharted oceans of the galaxy. By merging the organic silhouette of the leviathan with the intricate architecture of a mobile colony, the piece evokes the spirit of the Great Age of Exploration, transforming a symbol of terrestrial loneliness into a nomadic fortress charting a course through the cosmic void. This work sits firmly at the intersection of steampunk, retro-futurism, and marine-themed science fiction, offering a contemplative look at how humanity might seek refuge and community within the infinite silence of space.

Care
Care
Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, and prolonged exposure to moisture or direct sunlight. For bronze and metal pieces, an occasional light coat of wax or polish helps preserve the finish. Porcelain and glass items should be hand-cleaned gently to protect painted or gilded details.
