Description
Description
Captured in a moment of triumphant aspiration, this depiction portrays the tragic Greek myth of Icarus, the son of the master craftsman Daedalus. According to the legend, Icarus attempted to escape the labyrinth of Crete using wings fashioned from feathers and wax, defying his father’s warnings to stay clear of the sun’s intense heat. The soaring posture evokes the intoxicating feeling of human hubris and the perilous beauty of ambition, serving as a timeless cautionary tale about the consequences of overreaching one's limitations. This piece belongs to the themes of classical mythology, human ambition, and the eternal struggle between mortality and transcendence.

Care
Care
Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, and prolonged exposure to moisture or direct sunlight. For bronze and metal pieces, an occasional light coat of wax or polish helps preserve the finish. Porcelain and glass items should be hand-cleaned gently to protect painted or gilded details.
