Description
Description
The figure depicted is Hel, the Norse goddess of the underworld, a formidable figure in Norse mythology. She is the daughter of the trickster god Loki and the giantess Angrboða, tasked with ruling over Helheim, the realm of the dead. Known for her dual nature, Hel embodies both beauty and death, often portrayed with a half-living, half-dead visage. Her realm is where those who did not die a heroic or notable death were said to go, a place of cold and shadow. This representation recalls the themes of power, mystery, and the balance between life and death, capturing the essence of Norse beliefs about the afterlife and the formidable power wielded by one of its most enigmatic figures.

Care
Care
Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, and prolonged exposure to moisture or direct sunlight. For bronze and metal pieces, an occasional light coat of wax or polish helps preserve the finish. Porcelain and glass items should be hand-cleaned gently to protect painted or gilded details.
