Description
Description
This dynamic composition captures the climactic struggle between the demigod Hercules and the giant Antaeus, a legendary contest derived from Greek mythology. Antaeus, the son of Poseidon and Gaia, derived his immense strength from his mother, the Earth, remaining invincible as long as he maintained contact with the ground. Realizing the source of his adversary's power, Hercules lifted the giant into the air, severing his connection to the earth and ultimately crushing him. This scene, a favored subject in Western art, epitomizes themes of triumph, the victory of intellect over brute force, and the eternal clash between order and chaos.

Care
Care
Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, and prolonged exposure to moisture or direct sunlight. For bronze and metal pieces, an occasional light coat of wax or polish helps preserve the finish. Porcelain and glass items should be hand-cleaned gently to protect painted or gilded details.
