Description
Description
"Impossible Love" by Selina Fenech captures the poignant, timeless tension found in the mythic archetypes of the mermaid and the angel, two beings fundamentally separated by their elemental domains of ocean and sky. Much like the star-crossed lovers of classical literature—reminiscent of the tragic yearning between mortal and divine in ancient folklore—this depiction explores the profound melancholy of a romance that defies natural laws. By uniting a creature of the depths with a celestial messenger, the work evokes the Romantic-era fascination with the sublime and the longing for a connection that bridges the gap between disparate worlds. This piece belongs to the themes of fantasy art, forbidden romance, and mythological symbolism, serving as a visual exploration of how affection persists even in the face of an insurmountable divide.

Care
Care
Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, and prolonged exposure to moisture or direct sunlight. For bronze and metal pieces, an occasional light coat of wax or polish helps preserve the finish. Porcelain and glass items should be hand-cleaned gently to protect painted or gilded details.
