Description
Description
This evocative portrayal captures the profound moment during the Last Supper when Jesus, in a radical act of humility and service, washes the feet of his disciples. As recorded in the Gospel of John, this gesture inverted the social hierarchies of the ancient Near East, where such a task was typically reserved for the lowest servant, transforming a menial labor into a powerful theological statement on love, equality, and leadership. The composition reflects a long tradition of Christian iconography that emphasizes the intimacy and devotion inherent in the act, serving as a timeless reminder of the call to compassionate ministry. Belonging to the themes of Christian spirituality, biblical art, and the virtue of humility, this piece invites quiet contemplation on the selfless nature of the sacred narrative.

Care
Care
Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, and prolonged exposure to moisture or direct sunlight. For bronze and metal pieces, an occasional light coat of wax or polish helps preserve the finish. Porcelain and glass items should be hand-cleaned gently to protect painted or gilded details.
