Product Technique
Made of bronze (lost wax). "Lost Wax" bronze (or hot-cast bronze) is actually 100% pure bronze - essentially copper and tin. The most well-known and used process for making "lost wax" involves the pouring of molten bronze. This is the same method used by ancient civilizations to create bronze sculptures. The making of a "lost wax" bronze is a complex and time-consuming process, and specific technical expertise is needed to accomplish the task of making a bronze sculpture.

Gaius Julius Caesar Augustus (23 September 63 BC – 19 August AD 14) was the first emperor of the Roman Empire, ruling from 31 BC until his death in AD 14. Born Gaius Octavius Thurinus, he was adopted by his great-uncle Julius Caesar in 44 BC and named Gaius Julius Caesar. In 27 BC, the Senate awarded him the title Augustus.
Early Life and Rise to Power: After Caesar's assassination in 44 BC, Octavian inherited his wealth and name. In 43 BC, he formed the Second Triumvirate with Mark Antony and Marcus Aemilius Lepidus. The triumvirate eventually dissolved due to internal conflicts, with Octavian defeating Antony at the Battle of Actium in 31 BC.
Reign as Emperor: Octavian restored the facade of the Roman Republic but retained autocratic power. By 27 BC, he was known as Augustus and held various powers granted for life by the Senate. His control over Rome's legions allowed him to influence Senate decisions, establishing a model for future emperors.
Achievements: Augustus initiated the Pax Romana, a period of relative peace. He expanded the Empire, secured its boundaries, reformed taxation, developed road networks, established a standing army and navy, created the Praetorian Guard, and set up police and fire-fighting forces. Much of Rome was rebuilt under his rule.
Legacy: Upon his death in AD 14, Augustus was declared a god by the Senate. His names Augustus and Caesar were adopted by subsequent emperors, and the month of Sextilis was renamed August in his honor. He was succeeded by his stepson, Tiberius.

Care
Care
Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, and prolonged exposure to moisture or direct sunlight. For bronze and metal pieces, an occasional light coat of wax or polish helps preserve the finish. Porcelain and glass items should be hand-cleaned gently to protect painted or gilded details.
