Description
Description
The figure of the siren has long haunted the collective imagination, appearing in diverse cultural mythologies ranging from the ancient Mesopotamian tales of Atargatis to the folklore of medieval European mariners. By the nineteenth century, these aquatic beings became synonymous with the romanticized mystery of the deep sea, symbolizing a bridge between the known terrestrial world and the unknowable, vast expanses of the ocean. This piece captures that timeless, ethereal elegance, drawing upon the classical fascination with the maritime sublime and the enduring allure of mythical hybrids that have inspired poets, artists, and sailors alike for centuries. Belonging to the themes of oceanic mythology, fantasy, and classical romanticism, this representation invites a sense of wonder and introspective quietude, evoking the serene yet untamed spirit of the sea's hidden inhabitants.

Care
Care
Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, and prolonged exposure to moisture or direct sunlight. For bronze and metal pieces, an occasional light coat of wax or polish helps preserve the finish. Porcelain and glass items should be hand-cleaned gently to protect painted or gilded details.
