Description
Description
In Greek mythology, Oceanus was the Titan god of the river Okeanos, an enormous river encircling the world, often conceived as the vast expanse of the world ocean. As one of the twelve Titans, offspring of Uranus (Sky) and Gaia (Earth), Oceanus represented the boundary between the known world and the unknown, embodying the uncharted waters that ancient Greeks believed encircled their lands. Unlike many of his siblings, Oceanus largely remained neutral during the Titanomachy, the great war between the Titans and the Olympian gods, thereby avoiding imprisonment in Tartarus. He was often depicted as a powerful being with the upper body of a man and the lower body of a serpent or fish, signifying his dominion over all bodies of water. With his wife and sister, Tethys, a fellow Titaness, Oceanus fathered thousands of river gods and nymphs known as the Oceanids, illustrating his vast and generative nature. Through these mythological narratives, Oceanus embodies the mystery, power, and boundless nature of the world's oceans and waterways.

Care
Care
Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, and prolonged exposure to moisture or direct sunlight. For bronze and metal pieces, an occasional light coat of wax or polish helps preserve the finish. Porcelain and glass items should be hand-cleaned gently to protect painted or gilded details.
