Description
Description
The depiction of Our Lady of Lourdes is deeply rooted in the historical events surrounding the Marian apparitions witnessed by Bernadette Soubirous in 1858 in Lourdes, France. This representation captures the serene and compassionate presence of the Virgin Mary as described by Bernadette during those miraculous encounters at the grotto of Massabielle. Our Lady is traditionally shown in a posture of prayer, adorned in a flowing garment with a blue mantle, symbolizing purity and grace. This image has become an emblem of hope, faith, and healing, drawing millions of pilgrims to Lourdes annually in search of spiritual consolation and physical cures. The themes encapsulated in this depiction include divine intervention, holiness, and pilgrimage, serving as a profound reminder of the enduring connection between the earthly and the divine.

Care
Care
Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, and prolonged exposure to moisture or direct sunlight. For bronze and metal pieces, an occasional light coat of wax or polish helps preserve the finish. Porcelain and glass items should be hand-cleaned gently to protect painted or gilded details.
