Description
Description
The peacock has long served as a potent symbol of majesty, immortality, and divine beauty, appearing frequently in art and mythology ranging from the sacred gardens of ancient India to the opulent courts of the Renaissance. Often associated with the goddess Hera in Greek tradition—whose messenger, Argus, was said to have had his hundred eyes immortalized in the bird's iridescent plumage—this figure evokes the spirit of the Victorian and Art Nouveau movements, which frequently celebrated the exoticism and organic elegance of avian forms. By combining the stoic, architectural geometry of the classical column with the vibrant, cascading train of the peacock, this composition explores the dialogue between rigid civilization and the untamed splendor of nature. Themes of royalty, romanticism, and the aesthetic appreciation of natural history are woven throughout this piece, offering a refined nod to the grandeur of historical decorative arts.

Care
Care
Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, and prolonged exposure to moisture or direct sunlight. For bronze and metal pieces, an occasional light coat of wax or polish helps preserve the finish. Porcelain and glass items should be hand-cleaned gently to protect painted or gilded details.
