Description
Description
This representation captures the celebrated visionary encounter of Saint Anthony of Padua, a thirteenth-century Franciscan friar renowned for his profound eloquence and dedication to the poor. Iconography of this nature draws upon the hagiographic tradition that describes a miraculous apparition in which the Christ Child appeared to the saint, bestowing upon him a divine embrace that underscored his deep spiritual intimacy with the sacred. He is depicted in his customary humble habit, clutching a spray of lilies—symbols of purity and victory over temptation—while cradling the infant Jesus, a motif that has served for centuries as a poignant reminder of faith, guidance, and the search for the lost. Within the broader themes of religious history and Christian devotion, this scene resonates as an enduring symbol of intercession, pastoral love, and the quiet contemplation of the miraculous within the daily walk of the devout.

Care
Care
Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, and prolonged exposure to moisture or direct sunlight. For bronze and metal pieces, an occasional light coat of wax or polish helps preserve the finish. Porcelain and glass items should be hand-cleaned gently to protect painted or gilded details.
