Description
Description
This dynamic portrayal captures the essence of the bushi, the elite warrior class of feudal Japan, during the height of the Kamakura and Muromachi periods. Mounted archery and cavalry charges were the decisive factors on the battlefield, where the samurai’s prowess was defined by his martial discipline and the intimate bond with his mount. Dressed in traditional o-yoroi, or "great armor," designed to protect the warrior during high-speed engagement, the figure embodies the "Way of the Warrior" (Bushido), emphasizing courage, honor, and decisive action in the face of conflict. This piece belongs to the themes of Japanese history, martial heritage, and the dramatic artistry of the Sengoku period, serving as a testament to the storied legacy of the samurai who served as the cultural and political bedrock of their era.

Care
Care
Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, and prolonged exposure to moisture or direct sunlight. For bronze and metal pieces, an occasional light coat of wax or polish helps preserve the finish. Porcelain and glass items should be hand-cleaned gently to protect painted or gilded details.
