Description
Description
Yabusame, the tradition of mounted archery, stands as one of the most revered martial disciplines in Japanese history, embodying the rigorous training and spiritual focus required of the bushi class. During the Kamakura period, this art form transcended mere military utility to become a central ritual for the samurai, testing the warrior's ability to maintain perfect balance and composure while traversing the battlefield at full gallop. This depiction captures that pivotal moment of poise, showcasing the distinctive asymmetrical bow and the specialized armor designed to provide both protection and mobility during high-stakes maneuvers. Rooted in the themes of East Asian history, ancient warrior traditions, and the nobility of the feudal era, this piece reflects the profound connection between the rider and steed in the quest for precision and mastery.

Care
Care
Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, and prolonged exposure to moisture or direct sunlight. For bronze and metal pieces, an occasional light coat of wax or polish helps preserve the finish. Porcelain and glass items should be hand-cleaned gently to protect painted or gilded details.
