Description
Description
“Speak No Evil” is a contemporary bronze of a stylised face seen in profile, a single finger raised to the lips in a gesture of silence. The head is fragmented and roughly modelled, with planes that open and close like folded paper, and the textured patina is lifted by lighter highlights on the raised edges. Standing 40.2 cm tall on a dark square base, it is a thought-provoking piece with a strong vertical silhouette.
Design & Artistic Details
The title refers to the proverb of the three wise monkeys, “see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil”, here distilled into one human gesture. By breaking the face into angular, overlapping shapes, the sculptor turns a familiar sign into an abstract composition that changes as you move around it. Seen from the front it is almost architectural; seen from the side, the hand and the profile become clear, a contrast that keeps the sculpture interesting long after you have first noticed it.

Care
Care
Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, and prolonged exposure to moisture or direct sunlight. For bronze and metal pieces, an occasional light coat of wax or polish helps preserve the finish. Porcelain and glass items should be hand-cleaned gently to protect painted or gilded details.

Solid bronze sculptures are cast entirely in metal, traditionally with the lost-wax method. They are heavy, durable and develop a rich patina — pieces to keep for generations.
Cold cast bronze is made from real bronze powder blended with resin and hand-finished, giving an authentic bronze look with finer detail, lighter weight and a more accessible price. The material of each piece is listed on its product page.
