Description
Description
The term "en dehors," literally translating to "outward" in the lexicon of classical ballet, refers to movement directed away from the body's center, a foundational principle established during the refinement of the *danse d'école* under the patronage of Louis XIV. This piece captures the essence of that rotational grace, echoing the fascination with human kinetic potential that permeated 19th-century artistic movements, where creators sought to immortalize the fleeting, ethereal poise of the prima ballerina. By focusing on the body’s outward articulation, the work aligns with the Romantic-era preoccupation with idealism and the pursuit of transcendental beauty through disciplined form. Belonging to the themes of classical performing arts, dance history, and the celebration of the human figure, this representation pays homage to a centuries-old tradition of turning outward to achieve both technical precision and aesthetic elevation.

Care
Care
Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, and prolonged exposure to moisture or direct sunlight. For bronze and metal pieces, an occasional light coat of wax or polish helps preserve the finish. Porcelain and glass items should be hand-cleaned gently to protect painted or gilded details.
