Description
Description
This depiction captures the archetypal Norse warrior, evoking the spirit of the Viking Age, a period defined by maritime expansion, exploration, and fearsome combat prowess. The figure reflects the historical reality of the Northmen who were renowned for their use of the bearded axe—a staple of both labor and warfare—and the round linden-wood shield, which served as a crucial defense in the shield-wall tactics favored in Scandinavian combat. Adorned with intricate knotwork motifs inspired by traditional Germanic art styles such as Mammen or Borre, the warrior stands as a representation of the martial culture and mythology that fueled the sagas of the North. This piece belongs to the themes of historical fantasy, Norse mythology, and the epic tradition of medieval heroic lore.

Care
Care
Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, and prolonged exposure to moisture or direct sunlight. For bronze and metal pieces, an occasional light coat of wax or polish helps preserve the finish. Porcelain and glass items should be hand-cleaned gently to protect painted or gilded details.
