Description
Description
In this evocative portrayal, Selina Fenech captures the timeless allure of the siren, a figure deeply rooted in the maritime folklore of cultures ranging from the ancient Mediterranean to the Celtic fringes of the Atlantic. Drawing upon the archetypal image of the mermaid as an inhabitant of the liminal space between land and sea, the composition emphasizes the profound melancholy of eternal expectation, echoing the cautionary tales of sailors drawn toward the mysterious, untamable depths. This piece aligns with the romanticized traditions of ocean mythology and fantasy lore, exploring themes of longing, aquatic solitude, and the quiet beauty of the natural world. Through the lens of folklore, the subject serves as a bridge between our tangible reality and the vast, unknown reaches of the ocean, inviting viewers to ponder the silence of the shore where human desire meets the impenetrable mystery of the tide.

Care
Care
Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, and prolonged exposure to moisture or direct sunlight. For bronze and metal pieces, an occasional light coat of wax or polish helps preserve the finish. Porcelain and glass items should be hand-cleaned gently to protect painted or gilded details.
