Description
Description
Originating from the rugged landscapes of Scotland, the West Highland White Terrier—affectionately known as the "Westie"—was meticulously developed by Colonel Edward Donald Malcolm of Poltalloch in the 19th century. Bred specifically for hunting small vermin amidst rocky terrain, this distinctively bright, snowy-coated companion was purposefully bred for high visibility to prevent accidental injury during the hunt. This representation captures the indomitable spirit, alert intelligence, and courageous posture that have made the breed a beloved symbol of Scottish heritage and a quintessential favorite in canine history. This piece belongs to the themes of classic canine portraiture, traditional pastoral heritage, and the enduring charm of working dog breeds.

Care
Care
Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, and prolonged exposure to moisture or direct sunlight. For bronze and metal pieces, an occasional light coat of wax or polish helps preserve the finish. Porcelain and glass items should be hand-cleaned gently to protect painted or gilded details.
