Description
Description
This depiction of Anubis captures the essence of one of ancient Egypt's most revered deities, the guardian of the afterlife. Anubis, often portrayed with the head of a jackal, stands as a protector of graves and a guide for souls journeying to the afterlife. In this scene, he holds an ankh, symbolizing life, and a scale, which reflects his role in the "Weighing of the Heart" ceremony—a pivotal event where the hearts of the deceased were weighed against the feather of Ma'at, the goddess of truth and justice. The themes surrounding this representation include those of mortality, judgment, and the eternal quest for life, highlighting the ancient Egyptians' beliefs in the afterlife and divine justice.

Care
Care
Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, and prolonged exposure to moisture or direct sunlight. For bronze and metal pieces, an occasional light coat of wax or polish helps preserve the finish. Porcelain and glass items should be hand-cleaned gently to protect painted or gilded details.
