Description
Description
This captivating representation of Balthazar, King of Ethiopia, offering myrrh captures a moment of profound historical and religious significance. Balthazar is traditionally recognized as one of the Magi, or Wise Men, who journeyed to present gifts to the newborn Jesus, as recounted in the Christian nativity story. The act of offering myrrh, a precious resin used in ancient times for perfume and medicine, symbolizes both reverence and the foreshadowing of Jesus' mortal life and eventual death. This piece embodies themes of adoration, divine prophecy, and cultural exchange, reflecting the richness of biblical tradition and the global tapestry of ancient trade and diplomacy. It serves as a timeless reminder of the enduring legacy of faith and the symbolic gestures that transcend both time and geography.

Care
Care
Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, and prolonged exposure to moisture or direct sunlight. For bronze and metal pieces, an occasional light coat of wax or polish helps preserve the finish. Porcelain and glass items should be hand-cleaned gently to protect painted or gilded details.
