Description
Description
Captured in the whimsical artistic style of Lisa Parker, this piece reimagines the domestic familiarity of a pet’s grooming routine through the lens of esoteric folklore and traditional apothecary practice. Throughout history, the black cat has held a complex, dualistic position in human culture, frequently associated with both the protective spirits of hearth and home and the mysterious, unseen realms of the supernatural. By surrounding the subject with classic tinctures like witch hazel and hyssop oil—botanicals long revered in folk medicine for their purported cleansing and warding properties—the work evokes a narrative of a familiar preparing for its nightly vigil. The composition draws upon the enduring fascination with "witch’s pets," blending the mundanity of a bath with the storied, mystical heritage that has tethered these animals to the magical arts for centuries. This enchanting scene fits perfectly within the themes of contemporary gothic fantasy, mystical home decor, and the celebration of feline mystery.

Care
Care
Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, and prolonged exposure to moisture or direct sunlight. For bronze and metal pieces, an occasional light coat of wax or polish helps preserve the finish. Porcelain and glass items should be hand-cleaned gently to protect painted or gilded details.
