Description
Description
In ancient Celtic mythology, the dragon, or *draig*, was revered as a powerful guardian of the terrestrial realm and a symbol of sovereignty and wisdom. This piece evokes the spirit of the *Y Ddraig Goch*, the red dragon of legend that became a central emblem in Welsh folklore, representing the indomitable strength of the people. The interlacing knotwork surrounding the central crest mirrors the intricate zoomorphic artistry found in Insular art from the early medieval period, where endless patterns symbolized the interconnectedness of all life and the eternal nature of the soul. Embodying themes of fantasy, ancient mysticism, and medieval heraldry, this design honors the enduring legacy of Britain’s mythical protectors and the complex, sophisticated visual traditions of the Celtic world.

Care
Care
Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, and prolonged exposure to moisture or direct sunlight. For bronze and metal pieces, an occasional light coat of wax or polish helps preserve the finish. Porcelain and glass items should be hand-cleaned gently to protect painted or gilded details.
