Description
Description
This exquisite piece, "Cherubs On Scallop Shell Raised Dish," captures the timeless elegance and playful innocence often depicted in classical art. Cherubs, symbolizing love and protection, have been a recurrent motif in Renaissance and Baroque art, embodying the spirit of youthful exuberance and divine guardianship. Their presence suggests a heavenly connection, bridging the mortal realm with the divine. The scallop shell they rest upon evokes themes of rebirth and purity, reminiscent of its symbolic use in Botticelli's renowned painting "The Birth of Venus." This harmonious blend of cherubic figures with the scallop shell creates a piece that celebrates themes of beauty, innocence, and the timeless allure of mythical iconography.

Care
Care
Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, and prolonged exposure to moisture or direct sunlight. For bronze and metal pieces, an occasional light coat of wax or polish helps preserve the finish. Porcelain and glass items should be hand-cleaned gently to protect painted or gilded details.
