Description
Description
This figure draws inspiration from the vibrant traditions of *Día de los Muertos*, or Day of the Dead, a profound Mexican holiday where families welcome back the souls of their deceased relatives for a brief reunion of food, drink, and celebration. The central figure is adorned with *calavera* face paint, an artistic tradition rooted in the iconic *La Calavera Catrina* created by José Guadalupe Posada, which serves as a satirical yet poignant reminder of the equality of all people in the face of death. By clutching a brightly hued skull, the youth embodies the cultural acceptance of mortality, transforming the macabre into a colorful expression of love and memory. This piece belongs to themes of cultural heritage, ancestral veneration, and the festive spirit of folk art, reflecting a sophisticated balance between solemn remembrance and the joyful continuity of life.

Care
Care
Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, and prolonged exposure to moisture or direct sunlight. For bronze and metal pieces, an occasional light coat of wax or polish helps preserve the finish. Porcelain and glass items should be hand-cleaned gently to protect painted or gilded details.
