Description
Description
This piece draws direct inspiration from the Memento Mori tradition, an artistic and symbolic trope that emerged in late medieval Europe as a poignant reminder of the inevitability of death and the transient nature of human existence. Translated from Latin as "remember you must die," this genre often integrated anatomical representations with elegant, intricate filigree, juxtaposing the raw reality of mortality against the beauty of worldly artistry. By placing a traditional timekeeping mechanism at the center of this iconic form, the design invites reflection on the passage of time, serving as a philosophical bridge between the vanity of earthly life and the silent, patient ticking of eternity. It belongs to the Memento Mori, Gothic, and Vanitas art themes, celebrating a historical aesthetic that balances somber contemplation with exquisite decorative craftsmanship.

Care
Care
Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, and prolonged exposure to moisture or direct sunlight. For bronze and metal pieces, an occasional light coat of wax or polish helps preserve the finish. Porcelain and glass items should be hand-cleaned gently to protect painted or gilded details.
