Description
Description
This Hexagonal Base Candle Holder draws profound inspiration from the opulent aesthetic traditions of the Middle Byzantine period, echoing the intricate metalwork found in imperial reliquaries and liturgical vessels of the tenth and eleventh centuries. The presence of interlaced scrollwork and bold geometric motifs reflects the synthesis of Hellenistic classical elegance and Eastern ornamental complexity that defined the high artistic culture of Constantinople. Adorned with delicate pigments reminiscent of lapis lazuli and gold leaf, this piece captures the spirit of an era where religious devotion and state prestige were inseparable, embodying a legacy of grandeur designed to illuminate hallowed interior spaces. It belongs to the themes of Byzantine revival, ecclesiastical artistry, and historical ornamentation.

Care
Care
Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, and prolonged exposure to moisture or direct sunlight. For bronze and metal pieces, an occasional light coat of wax or polish helps preserve the finish. Porcelain and glass items should be hand-cleaned gently to protect painted or gilded details.
