Description
Description
This evocative portrayal draws inspiration from the enduring archetype of Lucifer, the morning star whose pride precipitated his fall from grace, a narrative deeply embedded in Western theology and Western art history. Much like Guillaume Geefs’ iconic sculpture "Le génie du mal," this piece captures the angel not in the heat of insurrection, but in a moment of profound, melancholic introspection following his expulsion from the celestial realm. His posture, heavy with the weight of exile, invites the viewer to contemplate the human condition through the lens of divine tragedy, echoing the Romantic fascination with the anti-hero. This depiction belongs to the themes of classical mythology, religious iconography, and the brooding, atmospheric aesthetic of Gothic Romanticism, serving as a solemn meditation on rebellion, remorse, and the eternal struggle between light and shadow.

Care
Care
Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, and prolonged exposure to moisture or direct sunlight. For bronze and metal pieces, an occasional light coat of wax or polish helps preserve the finish. Porcelain and glass items should be hand-cleaned gently to protect painted or gilded details.
