Description
Description
Lycaon, the Wolf King of Arcadia, invites one into the mythological tapestry of ancient Greece, where the line between man and beast was both a punishment and a curse. Rooted in the rich lore of Arcadian legends, Lycaon's story is laden with cautionary themes of hubris and divine retribution. In his tale, Lycaon, a once praiseworthy ruler, invokes the wrath of Zeus through acts of defiance and impiety, leading to his transformation into a wolf as both a symbol and an admonition. This narrative explores fascinating intersections of power, metamorphosis, and morality. The piece serves as a gateway to understanding the ancient world's profound use of myth to decipher human nature and divine justice, offering a timeless reflection on the consequences of defying the divine order. The themes of transformation and retribution that permeate this portrayal resonate within the broader context of Greek mythology, where the interplay between gods and mortals often unfolded in dramatic and illustrative tales.

Care
Care
Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, and prolonged exposure to moisture or direct sunlight. For bronze and metal pieces, an occasional light coat of wax or polish helps preserve the finish. Porcelain and glass items should be hand-cleaned gently to protect painted or gilded details.
