Description
Description
The Lying Lion draws inspiration from the storied tradition of the Medici Lions, a pair of prominent feline sculptures that have stood as symbols of power and vigilance since the late 16th century in Rome. Echoing the classical Roman style, this figure captures the essence of the "king of beasts" in a state of watchful repose, a motif frequently utilized throughout Renaissance and Neoclassical art to represent sovereignty, strength, and protective authority. By blending the ferocity of a wild predator with the poised dignity of a guardian, this piece evokes the timeless majesty of ancestral monuments that once graced the staircases and public squares of grand European estates. This evocative work belongs to the themes of classical antiquity, regal animal symbolism, and historical home decor, offering a dignified presence that anchors any interior space with an air of noble history.

Care
Care
Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, and prolonged exposure to moisture or direct sunlight. For bronze and metal pieces, an occasional light coat of wax or polish helps preserve the finish. Porcelain and glass items should be hand-cleaned gently to protect painted or gilded details.
