Description
Description
In the tradition of Gothic romanticism and dark fantasy, Nene Thomas’s Mad Queen evokes the archetypal figure of the sovereign presiding over a realm of mortality, reminiscent of historical allegories depicting vanity and the transient nature of power. Much like the memento mori imagery prevalent in medieval and Renaissance art, which served as a stark reminder of human frailty in the face of inevitable decay, this figure sits composed atop a cairn of skulls, embodying a cold, detached authority. Her visage, crowned by a dark, serrated diadem and accompanied by a silent, winged guardian, reflects a narrative of isolation and absolute dominion that transcends time. This piece belongs to the genres of high fantasy, gothic art, and dark surrealism, capturing a haunting juxtaposition between ethereal beauty and the grim finality of the grave.

Care
Care
Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, and prolonged exposure to moisture or direct sunlight. For bronze and metal pieces, an occasional light coat of wax or polish helps preserve the finish. Porcelain and glass items should be hand-cleaned gently to protect painted or gilded details.
