Description
Description
The tradition of the nativity scene traces its origins to 1223, when Saint Francis of Assisi staged a living tableau in a cave in Greccio, Italy, to redirect focus toward the humble circumstances of the birth of Jesus. By incorporating historical elements such as the guiding star and the angelic messenger within a sheltering archway, this composition evokes the contemplative spirit of medieval devotion, mirroring the artistic efforts of early Renaissance sculptors who sought to humanize sacred narratives through intimate, three-dimensional representation. This scene belongs to the themes of Christmas tradition, spiritual heritage, and religious iconography, capturing a moment of profound tranquility and familial devotion that has served as a cornerstone of seasonal reflection for centuries.

Care
Care
Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, and prolonged exposure to moisture or direct sunlight. For bronze and metal pieces, an occasional light coat of wax or polish helps preserve the finish. Porcelain and glass items should be hand-cleaned gently to protect painted or gilded details.
