Description
Description
In Norse mythology, Baldur, the son of Odin and Frigg, is celebrated as the god of light, radiance, joy, and purity. Often described as the most beloved of the Aesir, his existence was so luminous that he was said to cast a physical glow upon the world. Despite his near-invulnerability—achieved through his mother’s tireless efforts to obtain oaths from all creation that they would not harm him—Baldur met a tragic end through the cunning deception of Loki, who orchestrated his death by exploiting the single exception to his protection, the mistletoe. This pivotal narrative, which foretells the onset of Ragnarök, serves as a poignant meditation on the inevitability of fate and the loss of innocence within the ancient Germanic pantheon. This depiction belongs to the themes of Norse mythology, Viking heritage, and historical folklore.

Care
Care
Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, and prolonged exposure to moisture or direct sunlight. For bronze and metal pieces, an occasional light coat of wax or polish helps preserve the finish. Porcelain and glass items should be hand-cleaned gently to protect painted or gilded details.
