Description
Description
This evocative composition depicts the All-Father, Odin, the supreme deity of the Norse pantheon, as he traverses the celestial realms. He is mounted upon Sleipnir, his legendary eight-legged steed sired by Loki, famed for his unparalleled speed and ability to gallop through the air and over the sea. Accompanied by one of his faithful wolves—likely Geri or Freki, who symbolize the god’s connection to wild nature and warfare—Odin brandishes his spear, Gungnir, which is said to never miss its mark. Drawing heavily from the Poetic and Prose Eddas, this portrayal captures the essence of the "Wanderer" archetype, emphasizing Odin’s roles as a god of war, wisdom, and death. Through this representation, the themes of Norse mythology, Germanic paganism, and the heroic traditions of the Viking Age are brought to life, highlighting the enduring influence of these ancient figures on modern historical and cultural imagination.

Care
Care
Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, and prolonged exposure to moisture or direct sunlight. For bronze and metal pieces, an occasional light coat of wax or polish helps preserve the finish. Porcelain and glass items should be hand-cleaned gently to protect painted or gilded details.
