Description
Description
This depiction captures the Allfather Odin seated upon Hlidskjalf, the high throne in Asgard from which he observes the Nine Realms. Flanking the Norse deity are his loyal companions Geri and Freki, the two wolves whose names translate to "the ravenous" or "greedy one," representing the fierce aspects of the god of war and wisdom. Clad in his characteristic attire and clutching his spear Gungnir, Odin is portrayed with the single eye he sacrificed at Mimir’s Well in his relentless pursuit of transcendental knowledge. The intricate knotwork detailing on the throne reflects the artistic tradition of the Viking Age, emphasizing his role as the architect of fate and the chieftain of the Aesir. This piece draws heavily from the themes of Norse mythology, ancient pagan cosmology, and the archetype of the sovereign warrior-god who embodies the duality of profound insight and martial strength.

Care
Care
Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, and prolonged exposure to moisture or direct sunlight. For bronze and metal pieces, an occasional light coat of wax or polish helps preserve the finish. Porcelain and glass items should be hand-cleaned gently to protect painted or gilded details.
