Description
Description
This whimsical composition reinterprets the classical *Anantasayana* motif, historically representing the Hindu deity Vishnu reclining upon the cosmic serpent, Shesha, while dreaming the universe into existence. By transposing this ancient posture of divine repose onto a ginger tabby cat, the work bridges the gap between sacred iconography and the playful domesticity of feline behavior. The cat’s elongated limbs and serene, gaze-fixed orientation mimic the tranquil balance of a yoga practitioner in *Anantasana*, or Vishnu’s Couch pose, inviting a meditation on the parallels between the contemplative stillness of the divine and the languid, effortless grace found in the natural world. This piece belongs to the themes of spiritual iconography, feline anthropomorphism, and the intersection of Eastern meditative traditions with lighthearted artistic expression.

Care
Care
Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, and prolonged exposure to moisture or direct sunlight. For bronze and metal pieces, an occasional light coat of wax or polish helps preserve the finish. Porcelain and glass items should be hand-cleaned gently to protect painted or gilded details.
