Description
Description
This evocative study of devotion draws its inspiration from the iconic 1508 ink drawing by Albrecht Dürer, a quintessential masterpiece of the Northern Renaissance. Known originally as *Betende Hände*, this timeless image depicts a pair of weather-beaten, calloused hands pressed together in a posture of humble supplication, representing the profound intersection of human labor and spiritual surrender. By isolating the hands from the broader context of an altarpiece, the work transforms a gesture of piety into a universal symbol of hope, sacrifice, and the enduring power of faith. As a staple within the themes of religious iconography, contemplative art, and classical tradition, this piece serves as a solemn invitation to pause, reflect, and find serenity in the quiet strength of meditative expression.

Care
Care
Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, and prolonged exposure to moisture or direct sunlight. For bronze and metal pieces, an occasional light coat of wax or polish helps preserve the finish. Porcelain and glass items should be hand-cleaned gently to protect painted or gilded details.
