Description
Description
This representation synthesizes the devotional focus on the Sacred Heart, an iconographic tradition centered on the physical heart of Jesus as a vessel of divine love and compassion, with the foundational texts of the Old Testament. By incorporating the text of Genesis 11, which recounts the story of the Tower of Babel, the piece symbolically bridges the gap between the ancient biblical narrative of human hubris and confusion and the Christian message of redemption and divine unity. Historically, the Sacred Heart emerged as a prominent symbol in 17th-century France following the visions of Saint Margaret Mary Alacoque, while its juxtaposition with the Old Testament serves to emphasize the continuity of the covenant and the fulfillment of prophecy. This imagery belongs to the themes of Christian iconography, devotional art, and the theological tradition of typological study, which seeks to illuminate the connections between the Hebrew scriptures and the life and teachings of Christ.

Care
Care
Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, and prolonged exposure to moisture or direct sunlight. For bronze and metal pieces, an occasional light coat of wax or polish helps preserve the finish. Porcelain and glass items should be hand-cleaned gently to protect painted or gilded details.
