Description
Description
The "Sitting Skeletons See No Evil Hear No Evil Speak No Evil" figurines draw inspiration from the philosophical proverb that has transcended cultures and generations, often depicted as three monkeys with their respective gestures. This representation stems from the 17th-century carvings associated with the temple of Toshogu in Nikko, Japan, embodying the principles of virtuous mind and speech. These skeletons put a unique twist on the traditional imagery, offering a macabre yet whimsical interpretation that invites contemplation on human behavior and ethics. This theme intersects with concepts of morality and ancient proverbs, serving as a poignant reminder of the values of discretion, thoughtfulness, and integrity.

Care
Care
Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, and prolonged exposure to moisture or direct sunlight. For bronze and metal pieces, an occasional light coat of wax or polish helps preserve the finish. Porcelain and glass items should be hand-cleaned gently to protect painted or gilded details.
